My live in girlfriend committed suicide 11 days ago. With her passing, iit has left me with ~$700 in an overdue power bill, and $750 in rent that was due earlier in the month. The reason we are so behind is because I was spending an enormous amount of money on doctors, therapists, etc. She was supposed to take care of the rent and power bill this month with her tax return since I paid the entire electric bill since we moved in and covered last month's rent entirely. I have until the end of the month to move out, which is going to break the lease we have. There are also about 10 holes in the walls where she had manic breakdowns and would break things. Due to her condition I had to quit my job a few months ago, and work from home doing multiple things (some I'm not proud of) just to keep the bills paid and keep her in a stable condition. I've never been the type to ask for money or take handouts.... I'm just looking for advice on what to do here. We were not married, so I had no say in her final affairs, and her mother is keeping all of the money she had and basically telling me to figure it out myself. I'm so lost and broken... Idk what to do.
