I currently work in an affordable city in the US and was approached by a former colleague for a position in their company at a $20,000 raise. The actual salary wasn't given, just more of a "would you move for 20k then you make now?" The colleague would now be my boss and the move would essentially be a lateral move.
Here's my question, I LOVE where I work now, the firm is about half the size of the firm courting me and only has 1 office vs several for the courting firm. Both firms are privately owned by just a few people, but my gut tells me to stay where I am. Thoughts? I can provide answers to questions - obviously this is a throwaway account.
