I'm 26 years old and a college student. Few weeks ago as I was returning home I saw my dad shovelling the snow. He looked like an old man. It hit me hard that my dad is getting old and is entering the last highway of his life. I never had a good relationship with him. I never considered that his time in this world could be running out. He immigrated 25 years ago to Canada and worked day in day out to provide for my family and I never appreciated that. I have wasted the 5 last years to depression which is why I haven't graduaded yet. Yesterday we were talking and he said his dream was to visit London, that "if you came to this world and did not see London then you have wasted your life", as if he sensed he hasn't much years left in this world.
I will be graduating by Fall 2018 at the latest. I need to save up money quickly to take him to London and spend some time with him and let him know that I am thankful for what he did for us in his life, before it's too late. I feel like I am racing against time.
He is 65 years old.
Do you think I can do it?
