I took out a loan in 2009, and failed to pay it back. The total is $815 dollars. They are telling me that I have 2 pending cases that they are going to file to the court (in Dallas, Tx) and have the police come and serve me papers to appear in court. What legal ramifications do I have, if any, in order to avoid this? Is this such a thing? If I lose in court, will I be sent to jail if I dont have the money to pay off the debt? This was from a payday loan establishment.
