I currently have $13k remaining in an ETF that is at negative $3k loss in a taxable non retirement brokerage account. I plan to sell $12k of this losing stock and only keep the remaining $1k invested in it. When it comes time to do taxes, can I tax loss harvest the full $3k loss? How does that work since I’m not selling 100 percent of the losing ETF.
