I’m 37 with a wife and three kids. I wasted my 20’s chasing a dream of being an actor and then paid the consequences of a love for alcohol in my early 30’s. I’m a hell of a lot better off now but my future will be hell if I don’t start planning.
Aside from whatever the IRS has taken out of my paychecks (can’t be much- I was a bartender for the majority of my life) I have nothing going towards retirement.
Currently, I have about $50k in savings but am planning on paying off the last of my debt and a financed vehicle to remove those bills. Bad idea?
I have absolutely no idea where to begin.
