My husband just confessed that he has not paid his truck note in 7, soon to be 8 months on the 1st.
We got married in May. That’s when he didn’t make his first payment, it was a tight month. But the months after - we had the money. We had more than enough money. He said after the third month they said he had to make a lump sum to get current he got ashamed and overwhelmed and hadn’t told me.
He finally told me because we were ready to start having children and I wanted to review our finances with him. Talk about a trainwreck 😭
My question is - has anyone been in this situation? Do you know if we have options?
It hasn’t been repossessed (yet - out of luck or what idk) which I’m so thankful yet now I’m having so much anxiety.
It’s about $5300 total we’re behind but if we hustle could pay it off by end of December-beginning or January to be current. I just don’t know if they’d even give us the option to get current.
Can anyone let me know what might happen so I can hopefully get sleep tonight and tomorrow?
Please be gentle, this is hard enough already. My husband is ashamed, I’m sticking here so please judge on your own. We are young and we are learning. Thank you for any and all advice.
