Sort of a follow-up question to my last post. But to summarize...
My wife and I have just over $94,000 in student loans. We bring in about $85,000/yr after taxes. If all goes according to plan, we should have this paid off in about 3-5 years. Possibly 2 if we take some drastic measures. My question is: Do we wait until that point to have kids? My wife REALLY wants kids and I would also like to have them fairly young as I want my grandmother to be in their lives. Is it massively irresponsible to have a kid in the middle of paying off this mess?
Edit: For context, I am 24 and my wife is 22.
