I have a newborn nephew and am planning on opening a 529 for him. Would it be best to put it under my name, my sister’s, or nephew’s? They live in RI and I’m in MA so I would like to do it in MA for the added tax benefits. I’m just worried about him getting screwed over with financial aid when the time comes depending on whose name it may be under.
