My phone finally broke yesterday after many years of service. Decided to treat myself and upgrade to a nicer one since I'm starting grad school in the fall, even though things have been tighter than usual lately. The day after spending almost an entire paycheck on it, it wouldn't activate and I realized after 6 hours on the phone with my service provider that it was defective. Then my friend's dog knocked it off the coffee table with his tail and it shattered, because the case is still in the mail (again, I had it one day and it was sitting on a coffee table). Now I can't return it because it's not in "like new" condition, I'm out an entire paycheck, and I still don't have a phone, so I can't get into my bank accounts etc. :')
I know these kinds of things happen and it doesn't help to ruminate - it's just money - but I'm feeling so beaten down by it today. Had a good long cry.
