A new manager has come on board and my annual membership is due. I pay annually to save on fees. This is my fifth year and each year I’ve never had to pay more in fees. Many foundation members paying less than me have never had a fee increase either. He tried to tell me fees went up. Classes (which I attend - don’t use the gym much outside of these) have gone down in quality and quantity since our main trainer left. So I held the line - he caved and didn’t increase (by approx 7.5%). Makes me feel like a bit of an a- hole but I know there are others getting a better deal than me. Would you do the same as me and try to hold the line? I know it’s just him wanting to tell his boss he got people to pay more as there isn’t really a single price point at this gym - but of negotiation.
