I’m looking for advice on the most logical method to get a will in place. It looks like options vary from using online templates (low cost) to hiring an attorney (high cost) depending on your situation. I have a pretty standard situation (married, kids, own a home, retirement accounts, etc.) - nothing exotic like income properties or owning a business.
Are online templates typically sufficient or is it worth the extra cost to use an attorney? My work offers a legal plan benefit that will cost $230 for the year and wills fall under the plan benefits. Is that possibly the best way to go?
Thanks for any advice on this topic.
