Hi all,
So as the title says, I (23yrs old) filed my taxes alone for the first time and I received a letter yesterday saying “information from either your return or our record indicates the primary taxpayer is deceased”. I used to be filed under my parents until this year. My mom called the accountant who said that this happened because I filed taxes for the first time. Is this true? I don’t really believe him and it’s unsettling to receive a letter thinking I’m deceased. How do I fix this?
