I found a super old post about someone buying cheap bakeware and having it break on them in the oven and wanted to point this out. If you find glass bakeware on sale, check to see if the glass is 100% borosilicate. That's what your grandma's old Pyrex dishes are made of. Borosilicate is more resistant to abrupt temperature changes and when annealed properly, fairly shatter resistant.
Source: I do flameworking as a hobby and borosilicate glass is one of my favorites to work with for complex projects since it stays stable for longer when out of a flame. I bought knock off pyrex listed as 100% borosilicate and it's held up just as well as some of the old Pyrex stuff my grandma still uses to this day.
