Most of the brokerages and investment aggregators have a retirement planner feature that helps project out retirement age and annual amount available at retirement based on current portfolio, risk allocation, expected contributions, social security etc. I've used a couple w/ Fidelity and Personal Capital and I have accounts with others that also have this feature: Vanguard, Schwab.
Who, in your experience, has the best one?
Features that I think are useful include:
- ability to add life events like expected inheritance, college expenditures, etc
- nice visualizations
- capture multiple scenarios
- multiple projections and confidence intervals based on market variance
- ability to actually link other brokerages vs. manually entering portfolio info
Would love to hear other's experiences.
