I have a 4plex and a duplex that both cash flow positive. I have about $450,000 equity in them. I owe less than $300,000 on my personal residence. I'm only 45 and keep going back and forth on this. I plan on buying more rentals in the future and think we will see some good deals in the next 12 or so months and I'll buy another rental. What's your guys thoughts on this. I started buying property 6 years ago and have already sold 2 primary residences and 1 rental in that time. I understand that in time they will pay for themselves if i just hold. But i feel like just taking a break from everything and enjoy owning a home outright.
