We are looking to buy a van for our growing family. I was comparing a new sienna with a MSRP of nearly 45k to an older Odyssey 2015 56k miles for 28k.
My calculation assumes that we will keep the Odyssey for 5 years while Sienna for 9 years or more based on our past ownerships. Based on a mockup interest rate and better MPG for the Sienna the increase in cost of ownership for Sienna is coming out to be nearly $544 a year.
Am I missing something here as the newer vehicle seems to be making more sense? image
