I live alone and am putting together an emergency kit. Things to have on hand if a storm shuts my city down and a bag to grab if the house caught fire.
I am trying to decide how much cash to keep in the kit. I have one credit card with a $2200 limit. I haven't thought of that as an alternative to cash.
Do you keep emergency cash in the house? If so, how'd you decide how much?
