My sibling has been in the hospital for a couple weeks and went unconscious and into the ICU.
They're single, we don't know about any directives, etc. We don't currently have access to phone or finances.
With their conditions, this will definitely be a long-term hospital stay, but no idea how long the unconsciousness will last, but I want to be prepared for if it's long enough we have to be handling their finances and get ahead of any issues so they don't come through this with financial issues that have snow balled. Also want to keep income and medical coverage going as long as possible.
What do we need to be thinking about? (ex bills, subscriptions, house care, etc)
What help should I look into? (ex FMLA, disability coverage from work, etc.)
How would we find all financial accounts or file taxes for them, etc..
