I take home about $3500/mo and currently live in an apartment that I pay $1,100 plus utilities (~$200/mo). This is reasonably comfortable for me at the moment.
I went online to pay my rent and it looks like the new rent scheme is $1380+ for a 1 bedroom.
I’m not sure if they’re going to try to jack my rent up at the end of my lease, but if they do that’s seriously going to cut into my ability to save much.
I’ve been looking around and there aren’t any apartments cheaper in the area to move to.
