I've applied to homeless resources in all the major cities in the US because I don't know of any others. Some of the rural towns I looked at don't have resources or specific housing information so I was stuck on major cities. Its not likely I'll hit the lotto in any metropolitan area. I'm ok with moving to a more rural town as long as there is some infrastructure for non min wage jobs and professionals like a dentist in town. Ideally I'd like to be one hour from a mid sized town, diverse and someplace that isn't horrible to live. There is a reason why (I live in a major metro area) that people from rural areas come here to be homeless so I don't want to reverse my situation only to rather be homeless here than housed there.
