I frequently use the Walmart app for groceries and shop in-store regularly. Yesterday morning, I woke up to a notification saying a transaction on my debit card for $98 at Walmart was blocked. I had shopped in-store earlier the day before, used that card, but not for that amount.
Today, I discovered a $98 charge on one of my credit cards that is pending. The only other similarity between the two is that both cards are saved to my Walmart account.
I even went through my Walmart purchase as sometimes the online order is charged a week or two later after the pre-authorization hold drops off. Nothing matches.
I'm planning to call my credit card this morning to get it sorted--hopefully.
Has anyone else had a similar issue lately?
Note: my cards have never left my possession.
