62 Male, early retirement, Renter, SS benefits barely cover current rent, 10K in savings, rented for last 11 years. My rent has not increased in 11 years. Landlord is talking about 50% rent increase. I cannot afford. What are my options here? Marginal credit, defaulted on 50K CC debt. Can I find financing to purchase modest home in small town with cheap cost of living? What would you do in this situation?
