Okay so basically I was in a discord group which tells u when to buy and sell a certain crypto currency and the website that was meant to be used was XTRADE- so I just signed up and clicked buy on the crypto but thing was I didn't put in any money yet so when the person told us to sell it I did and it said I had made 0.00615 BTC which was strange but I didn't really thoroughly think it thru so I decided to click withdraw on it and couldn't and I was required to deposit 0.01 BTC so I when ahead and bought btc thru crypto.com and sent it over to the wallet address but the transfer fees knocked it down to 0.0097 BTC so I tried to withdraw but it did not work so I sent another 0.099 BTC thinking that I had 0.0097 in there already so it would be well above the min deposit of 0.01 BTC but unfortunately it said the same thing when I tried to withdraw the funds saying a deposit of 0.01 BTC is still needed which was when I was starting to feel like it may be a scam so I was just checking online about scams like this and sure enough there were scams similar to this. I just feel so stupid thinking it was real and honestly I guess it's punishment for me thinking I made a quick buck in the span of 30mins, so my lesson learnt don't be so greedy and don't take shortcuts.
Really bummed I lost $1200 but honestly happy I didn't put in ALL my money, thankfully I'm only 19 and don't need the money urgently but would still be good if I could get it back
But I still feel like shit and a fucking idiot for falling for it
