So I live in mount clemens, michigan. I make $14/hr and I work 24 hours a week. I go to school part-time. I am willing to work full-time but only at a job where I feel like I can stand. I work in a domestic violence shelter and I would not be able to work here full-time, I don't think.

I struggle with mental health issues that make me quit jobs a lot. But I'm ready to grow up and work with the main focus being making money so I can get out of this apartment. I've been living in my dad's apartment since I believe I was 7 years old. I'm 24 now and I'll be 25 in May. I'll have my associates degree in pre-social work probably in July.

The reason why I say I need to get out of here ASAP is because there's mold and it's just a really depressing environment with a bad vibe. It hasn't been updated since we moved in. We've been living with mold for probably over a decade. That's probably why I want to take my life every single day.

I'm ready to be on my grind and get my own place and become a cat lady. There's also a gnat infestation here. There's so many gnats in the house that you don't even want to eat anything. There's dead gnats in the refrigerator. I'm embarassed when I order food and I have to answer the door. This place is repugnant.

The average cost of a one bedroom apartment in my area is $800/month. If I went full-time at my job where I currently make $14/hr, would I be able to afford a one bedroom? My credit score is fair and some of these apartments don't do credit checks. I have $2,300 in my savings and $650 in my checkings. I pay $143 for car insurance a month and thats the least I can get it since I got into an accident. I pay $30 a month for my psychatrist appointments and around $160 a month for groceries but that will go down as I don't really have an appetite anymore and when I live alone, I'll only have to worry about myself.

I don't want to live with a roommate, I want to be on my own. So what do I need to do? How much do I need to make? I've been working at my job for 3 months so its too early to ask for a raise. And my dad doesn’t allow me to tell the landlord about our situation.
