I've just received a job offer in a city in a different state, and I'm trying to determine how to go about negotiating.
Salary: About a 25% jump, they gave me what I asked for, so I may have screwed myself there on the potential to getting more
Commute: Goes from <5 minutes to 30-40 minutes, I don't mind the drive, but that's almost 1.5 hours from my day
Healthcare: Goes from $200~ per paycheck to $0, I consider this a huge plus, but going from an HSA to an FSA
401k: Same 6% match, but will take 5 years for 100% vesting
Vacation days: 10 company paid holidays + 15 vacation days, reupping yearly to 11 and 21, accrued and up to 7 days carryover
Sick days: 5 to 0 🤷, a wash considering the above
As for the work, it's more interesting to me than what I'm currently doing.
I may have another offer coming in, but it is not definite.
