I always keep my utilization below 30% and as a good practice, pay my balances as soon as they're no longer pending and It actually allows me.

I'm planning on making a larger purchase soon of about $1,000. While I could just have this come directly out of my checking, I would hate to miss out on the cash back I would get out of the purchase. My credit limit for my card is $1,800 so it would definitely be over the 30% mark.

Let's say my due date is not for another three weeks and I go ahead and put this on my credit card. If 2-3 days pass and I can just pay off the $1,000 cc balance from my checking, would this even show against my credit score?
