It seems like everyone in the US is
a) living paycheck to paycheck and not able to plan a healthy retirement fund of any kind in order to support their families in the moment
b) working insane hours at a stressful job, and looking at doing that stressful job for the next few decades to get what they want, or
c) sacrificing major things like a conventional home or having children in order to live comfortably.*
Edit: *if you do not desire these things, it’s not a sacrifice, of course; I mentioned those things specifically because I’ve seen posts and known people who want to stop renting/want to have kids and can’t afford it
People who don’t fall into those categories, where are you? Or is this the middle class now? Is anyone actually enjoying the middle class life of yore, the one our parents enjoyed? Just curious if it still exists. Feel free to brag— I really want to know about others’ experiences.
