Hi guys, a bit of identity theft and fraud here:

I got a facebook message today basically saying "This is going to sound weird, but did you ask me to pay you a deposit on your rental house in Walmart gift cards?" I spoke with the woman and confirmed her suspicion that she was being scammed.

I can't find the original Craigslist ad, but apparently this guy knows the address of the house, my name, and that it's for rent. I'm not super concerned -- it's easy enough to find out that the house is for rent and the address, and my name on the deed is public record, right? -- but I wan't to make sure all my bases are covered.

There's no suspicious charges on any accounts. I called the local police and they couldn't care less.

Does this count as identity theft? I'm going to check out IdentityTheft.gov - anything else I need to do?
