A Nephew of mine dropped out of school and sat around the house doing nothing for six months. Other than a few odd jobs he did not work. His parents were fed up and kicked him out of the house.
Now he is living for a few weeks at a friend's house but he has to move on soon. How can someone who has no employment, rental, or work history and is only 17 years old get started in his goal of being independent and living on his own?
I doubt anyone will accept him as a roommate, or rent him an apartment because he has no job and only $500 to his name. He has no employment history, no credit cards or FICO score, and no history of responsibility.
If you were in his shoes what would you do?
