Title says it all and I’m feeling extremely embarrassed. I received a phone call with a caller ID claiming to be Wells Fargo. I was in a vulnerable space and ended up giving this caller my last 4 of my SSN and pin #. Once I immediately realized it was a scam it was too late and they took out $1000 before I could close my card.
Realistically can I get this money back? I filed a claim with Wells Fargo but since I had given this info to this person, I’m coming to a realization that my claim will be denied.
I’m a good person. I work as a nurse amidst a global pandemic. What steps should I be taking next? And please someone reassure me because I don’t feel like I did anything to deserve this.
