Hi guys! I'm wondering what are the frugal tips to arrange food while traveling. I'm currently in Italy and my budget for each meal is maximum €5, so €10 per day (i usually don't eat breakfast). With this amount, most of the time i only get panini, kebab, or fried rice at the chinese restaurant.
I've just realized that it can be cheaper by buying bread and prosciutto or salami at the supermarket. It can last for the whole day (if your hostel allow you to use the fridge, you can stock up even more). Yesterday i bought 8 slices of bread for €1.8 and prosciutto for €1.09. It works well as my lunch and dinner for today. Even i had breakfast too.
One thing i learned too, need to always bring lunchbox. It's very useful to store leftover food. yesterday i bought kebab plate and it was too much for my lunch. I had to eat it slowly so nothing goes to waste 😅, all while cursing that i could've saved this meal for dinner as well.
Let me know if you have other tips!
