Hello all,
Sorry for the post with a throwaway - the topic is something I'm a bit uncomfortable with connecting to my normal account.
So I (EU citizen) am currently living in Germany with my wife (US citizen) and we are thinking about moving to the US soon (1-2 years).
I'm currently in privately paid psychological treatment, and luckily I'm in a financial position that the private payment for treatment so far has not been an issue.
But my therapist now offered to give me a spot paid by the public health insurance.
However, I'm hesitant to accept this offer. I'm concerned about it's potential impact on my future insurance premiums, because the therapy would then obviously be on my recent medical records. (FYI: I already was in health insurance covered psychological treatment for 6 months back in 2019, so that's already there)
Does someone know if US health insurances would check medical records from abroad when I sign up with them? And would I have to expect increased premiums?
Thanks for your support!
