I’m 24, single, Chicago. Still on parents health insurance thankfully. Minimum income is $2000 after taxes. My rent plus utilities comes out to $1100. No other bills, I own my car, etc. Is it unreasonable to live off the remaining $900 monthly for a year? I’ve been considering getting a second job, I also just got a Masters (in music unfortunately) which may allow me a few students on my days off. I’ve just been stressing because Im losing a big chunk of income from graduate assistantships and help from my parents (I know I’ve been rather spoiled— Im doing everything I can to grow up fast)
I know it sounds really naive and Im trying to be self-aware of my unpreparedness for this.
