Obviously it's silly to try and beat the market when you have decent money and no profession in investing.

(I have about 5K savings and 5k invested in a index tracking ETF Australian dollars)

If it's possible to get really high returns when you don't have much money I was thinking of learning stock trading through trading fake stock and reading etc. With a goal of getting very high returns until I actually have decent capital.

I am going to University soon and have a job but if I leave the job the government will give me a small income whist I am at University.

I wanted to work on a side business whist at University so I have the chance to try and be self employed so I am able to travel whist working and pick my own hours.

I want to know if getting very high returns is realistic whist I don't have much capital as that could act as my "business" to get me started.
