I just applied and received a promotion in a wire drawing facility. I will now be working in maintenance. After I interviewed for the job I had to take an aptitude test and then for two weeks heard nothing. I finally go and ask myself and find out that I was supposed to receive the offer a week before. They tell me I’m supposed to start in two days.
Two days after starting the new job and I receive my offer and it’s two dollars less an hour than i anticipated... Should I speak up for myself and ask for a raise since I feel shoehorned into taking this amount? It’s already more than I have ever made in my life, with mandatory overtime I’m almost doubling my income.
What should I do and how should I approach my boss about it? Thank you guys.
