So I own multiple asset classes and seek to diversify further. I stewed that I didn’t want to deal with the headache of real estate and someone suggested Reits.
After cursory research, I learned that they are advantageous to get in an IRA DUE TO COMPOUNDING TAX BENefits. It seems that the average dividem pay out is about 4 %. That doesn’t seem that great. Even at my tax bracket that would translate to 6 percent which I guess is t bad. What are other benefits of REITS besides diversity?
Also, what would be good Reits to get and how do you analyze them? Would it be best to get a REIT ETF?
