Hi folks,

So I have a genetic disability that boasts an average lifespan of 42. I am currently over 30. I am in amazing health, but it is one of those things that can go downhill really quick if unlucky.

My question is this; should I be enjoying my time (money) now and not saving for something I will likely never use? One of the issues with my disability is that I cannot have children (no kids to leave money to). So outside of possibly leaving the money for my wife, I just cannot really think of a reason to keep saving for retirement.

Currently, 10% of my salary is going into 401k, I am maxing my HSA (and not touching it), and 275$ net is going into a roth ira monthly).

Does anyone have any input or opinions? I would appreciate anything at this point. :)
