So right now, I have a little under 58k in savings. Twenty eight, working full time, and in a situation where I don't have many expenses.

I am contributing 1k biweekly to a 401k, which is obviously a lot. I didn't start contributing earlier because I thought of investing as a scam until recently, where someone explained to me how index funds work.

That all said, am I foolish for deducting 1k from my paycheck into a 401k or is this smart with the amount of savings I have?
