I made some really bad financial decisions when I was 21 and suicidal with no reason to live. At that time in my life, I maxed out my credit cards and was pretty set on killing myself by overdosing on drugs.
At 22, I ended up declaring bankruptcy and got discharged. From my understanding, it takes 7 years for it to go away on my credit file. My credit is at 618 right now. I've really turned my life around with therapy, and I have a great job and dreams of a future I would have never imagined before.
Other than securing a capital one credit card and paying my bills on time, is there anything else I can do? I'm planning on moving to another city next year and I don't want to be facing issues with my credit store.
I'm open to any & all suggestions, the former threads I've found in /personalfinance were from years ago, and they had mentioned calling the debtors. I don't think this is possible a this stage since the bankruptcy was claimed in 2015.
Thank you in advance.
