depending on however Insurance ended up negotiating it? Even when you think you're covered maybe they will have factored it some certain way, and bury information in obscure procedure codes and EOBs

So there's no way to budget for it? What's the adult reasonable way to manage this, so it's not an uncontrollable factor of grab-bag surprise debts?

Anything that gets messed up they just blame some nameless other side of the bureaucracy, and the extra money and stress comes out of me

Ex.

I just noticed my primary care provider's charges have been higher - seems like they went OUT-of-network with my insurance. And did not tell me this. So I've been going many times this year with dumb various ailments after-effects of covid

They will probably blame my insurance plan, which had some revision tweaks

Aka nobody was responsible for telling me this critical-to-my-finances fact

Ex.

sometimes i call the doctors office to ask if my symptoms are worrisome enough to come in and get a physical exam

I realized they are charging me for both the office visit + the phone call

Ex.

I got a skin biopsy at the dermotologists last month. They are not telling me the results unless I come in again, and pay them again.

daily humiliations.

Is the solution to stop getting sick? Or ignore all illnesses where I'm not near-death

Because the stress will kill me first
