This is a terrific source for goods still in good condition, as hotels must keep their rooms stylish and current. Chairs and tables are of solid wood and upholstered goods easy to freshen with reupholstery. Min-bars and refrigerators are perfect for home offices. They've sometimes had cutouts made to them that are easily covered with plywood, finished with paint or remaindered countertop scrap.
The real steal can be drapes, as they're lined and fitted with a blackout layer and fuzzy Velcro down their sides so they close at their edges without gaps. (the pronged side must have been glued along the wall.) Their rich fabrics look stunning as they keep outside cold and heat out of the room. The last detail is they're beautifully-made, with handstiched hems. Mine are taller than I'd usually buy but I could re-hem them. They were $20 a panel, and I'm sure they'd be about $400 per panel otherwise. They're generally from smoke-free rooms, it seems. Sleeping in a dark room with sirens muffled is the best part.
