Midway through covid my dad was fired from his job as a manager at Starbucks. Since he was fired he only can be on unemployment for another month or two unless something changes. His credit cards have racked up to 12k and mine were already at 6k before all this happened. I work a job that I get paid at 17 an hour but I have a decent amount of expenses to pay with my debt, phone, car and etc. I can help out with 100-200 a week but that's where I stop being useful. His bank isn't going to let him push his car payments any further so thats looking bad too. He has no degree just a lot of management experience but since he was fired from his previous job nobody will take him. So if he gets a job it will be one that pays as much as mine or a bit more and that won't fix really anything just make it a bit better. To make matters worse he has a tumor in his back that was aggravated from work but workman's comp declined his case. So even if he got insurance that would be a minimum 14k to remove. Four of us live in our house but only my dad and I can work. I have a GED but only minimal experience so this is the best I can get right now. I really don't know what to do with all this. It's hard seeing everything fall apart so fast and really all at once. We don't have any savings because it's been all used up. What steps should I take to maybe make this a bit easier?
