Hey Guys,
I tend to live frugally, have made some rules in life that I follow. At the moment I am in a dilemma if I should buy a car. Ok so, first I need to explain my circumstances. Also, things may change in the upcoming months.
I live in a big city and share a flat with 2 other friends. At the moment during the winter times, my company has made it available to work from home so I came home to my family, but in 1 month's time, I'll maybe go back to the big city and go to the office. So, my office is not that far away, a 15-minute bicycle ride or a 30minute walk. So realistically going to work in a car is useless since there is a lot of traffic. So, in essence, my car is needed only for weekend drives, going somewhere to escape the city and things in-between. I think that every time I want to go somewhere and do something different once I am limited by transportation. The car that I want to buy is right in my budget and will buy it in cash. Also at the moment, I am not planning to invest in real estate since I am still at the beginning of my career.
So guys, how would you deal with this situation? Is a car needed only on weekends and for fun?
