So, we moved into an old home that hasn't been painted in a long while and thought we'd paint the front room over the Thanksgiving weekend since there was nothing to do. I snagged some Sherwin Williams quarts to go or similarly labeled samples off freecycle, mixed them together to make a HGTV style greige and thought I'd scored. It's been a few days since I primed and painted, and today I randomly came upon a discussion where they say the samples are not paint, just colored water!
So... How bad have I done? What do I do to correct? It "looks" good like regular satin paint so I'm thinking of just leaving it as is to see how it'll last.
