There are stories of people like Larry Ellison and Elon Musk financing their lives by taking out lines of credit against the shares of their company.
How are these debts eventually paid back? Do these people eventually sell their stock to pay for this?
Additionally, are there examples of times where the value of the shares decreased drastically and the borrower needed to either add more collateral or give up all their collateral?
