Since Sept. 2019, I was planning on studying abroad for the 2020 Summer. Obviously that did not happen... i was hoping that the trip was be offered again for Summer 2021, but I was just told that isn't happening either...
For housing, plane, spending money, and bill for when I was gone, I saved $20k. Now I am sitting on this money and I am not sure what to do with it and be smart.
I am looking to possibly get a new (used) car. I also have $40k worth in student loans so I was considering paying that down. My partner is telling my to put it into a savings and invest, but im not sure how that all works.
Any suggestions? I want to be financially smart with this money and do what will put me in the best position.
