I wouldn’t say I’m frugal but I’ve been making an effort to use my money more efficiently so I can save (and spend!) money with less anxiety/guilt. I live off £1000pm as a student and have been really struggling to get by and save money. I wasn’t really willing to sacrifice the quality of my food (or my cats food). I managed to decrease my spending by:

-cancelling my phone and laptop insurance - getting contents insurance for renters instead -changing my energy supplier -insuring my cats together -swapping my cats premium wet food for a premium dry food (£75pm->£17pcm) and buying bulk -setting a £45 per week limit on grocery shopping -buying a fixed term gym membership upfront (saving £150 over a year) -paying off a contact for my little sisters phone

And I haven’t even tackled my non-essential spending yet!
