I can think of Kraft-heinz, where 3g Capital and Berkshire wanted to rescue Heinz and so they merged it with Kraft by influencing the management and now this company is almost ruined.

It has too much debt to carry on its operations and Kraft can't spend enough on marketing or R&D due to this debt pressure, ultimately hurting sales.

Also, airlines such as American, United are facing extreme hardship currently due to them overspending in buybacks(granted they couldn't have predicted this calamity, but that doesn't give them a free pass).

What other companies can you all think of that were ruined by shareholders?
