Hey everyone,
So I'll try and make a long story short. I bought a car last fall after owning it a week the head gasket failed and the tires needed to be replaced. After those costs, I spent close to what I paid for the car in repairs.
Today, the car wouldn't go forward and the check engine light, oil light, and battery light came on. I'm working on getting it to the shop but am concerned the car will continue to keep breaking. The sad part was I bought this car because I was looking for something reliable.
I'm finishing my last term of college (online) but after that plan on getting a job and expect to need a car. I'll be making a bit over minimum wage and currently living at home to save money.
Should I try and just bike/bus to where I need to go? (My town is very bike-friendly, however rains a lot fall thru spring)
Should I pray my car just works out and stops breaking?
Help, I'm a young adult just starting out and feeling really defeated in my vehicle situation. Open to all suggestions.
